Swamiji has a very special one day meditation program called Kalpataru. Basically you spend half a day doing special meditation and listen to powerful talks to zone in and find your one true desire. Then at the end Swamiji gives each person a powerful darshan and asks what you want and you tell him... and then it happens!
Well in the last meditation before the darshan there is a meditation, I am not quite sure what it is called, but anyway you sit there and an acharya says these words over and over again with proper gaps in between "Let your eyes pour, let your heart melt" I always got the eyes pouring part and I sort of got the heart melting part, but not exactly. I have done the Kalpataru program now more times then I can count but every single time I do it I simply cannot figure out how to let my heart melt.
So today months after the last Kalpataru in Ohio I am assisting Arathi. I sit there wiping off the handles of the different pieces, singing along to the music and staring into the face of beautiful Anandaswara. About halfway through I had the feeling that my heart was melting! I can't exactly describe how it felt, but I can say while my whole chest felt like my heart was melting I felt an intense love and compassion to everything, but then it all went away when arathi ended... it was a very interesting expirence that I wanted to share with you all.
